The association The Writers League Timisoara Banat Branch (LSFTB) was formed in 2009, with the aim of supporting the artistical creation, expression and moral solidarity of its members. LSFTB also encourages lifelong education projects by organizing cultural events focused on developing art skills, with a strong intergenerational focus. LSFTB has several magazines, with national coverage, targeted especially to seniors, aiming to support valuable literary creations, translations in and from Romanian, European cultural exchange. Between the events organized by LSFTB are also European cultural tourism activities, creative literary workshops, cultural salons and art exhibitions. LSFTB has also strong connections with other Romanian NGOs working in the same field, with Popular University of Timisoara, West University of Timisoara and University of Craiova. LSFTB has cooperations with Timis County Council, Prefecture of Timis county and the House of Culture of municipality of Timisoara.
