I am interested in projects aimed at increasing education, as well as community development. The education projects could be focused on life-long learning, intergenerational knowledge sharing, personal and entrepreneurial youth education. The community development projects could be focused on social and economic sustainable development.
I have worked as manager, consultant, trainer or seed money granter in Central and Eastern Europe with EC, USDOL, USAID, World Bank, Mott Foundation, National Democratic Institute and other bi-lateral funding agencies or international donors/ consulting companies in different development fields. I have been both a participant and a trainer in a great number of training courses focused on EU funding and project management (design, implementation, evaluation), in Romania. I have also had the chance to design project proposals for different funding schemes, including Phare (pre-accession EU funds) and Structural Funds (European Social Fund – Human Resources Development Program in Romania) and to implement them, as well as to evaluate project proposals for different funding schemes.
My hobbies are: being a good mam for my daughter, knitting and cooking, finding new things for my spiritual development.
I live in Curtea de Argeș, România. The name, literally The Court upon Argeș refers to the former status of the town as the capital of Wallachia. It is famous for its Monastery and the Legend of Master Manole. My city has established partnerships with Never (France) and San Giuliano-Milanese (Italy).
I am working in ADES -Association for Economic and Social Development. We are a member of RONOR – Network of NGOs working for increasing the employment of active persons. ADES’ mission is to create positive social and economic change in communities throughout Romania in a professional, ethical and responsible manner. This mission is realized through the following goals: Developing professional skills and increasing labour productivity; Supporting SME development and expansion; Improving social and economic conditions (public administration, access to capital, etc.) in local communities. We aim to identify partners and funding possibilities for intergenerational projects. This type of projects is an old wish of our organization which we always have wanted to put into practice. We have implemented over 30 community development and human resources development/life long learning projects mainly with Romanian partners and we are eager to establish long standing partnerships for intercultural and intergenerational projects with foreign organizations.
