Eko centar, (Eco center) is one of the oldest NGO in Serbia and its main field of activities is raising enviromental awareness and education for sustainble development. We try to connect ecology and social sceinces so broader name of the Center is Centar for Socio-ecological Research and Documentation. Eco center had several interesting projects with German ogranization InWEnt (later GTZ now GIZ) when we organized selection process for professional practice on environmental management of Serbian young professionals in German organizations and institutions.
We are functiong within Center for Study in Cultural Development and we are in charge for gastronomy as a part of nontengible cultural heritage. We issued several cultural-gastronomical books such as Gastronomical map of Serbia, Gastronomical guide through cities and municipalities of Serbia and Tastes of National Park Djerdap.
